Lords of the Var The Bound Prince Book 3 Michelle M Pillow 9781586088804 Books

We start the story with Captain Sam playing a drinking game with her friends/shipmates. They are in the Y Quadrant looking for things on their list for a Scavenger Hunt. They go down on the planet looking for a ferocious animal from a barbarian planet. Prince Falke is running in the forest stretching his muscles still healing from being tortured in the last book. Captain Sam ends up darting Prince Falke, who is shifted in his tiger form, and kidnaps him. Little does she know her ferocious animal is even more dangerous to when he is not shifted. Samantha is part Ticaran and part Human. She has the ability to heal. Falke is part Var and part Roane. In the earlier books every one comments on how stoic Falke is and they are not wrong. However, in this book we realize how much he feels and how much passion he possesses.Sam is an amazing character, she is very feisty and compassionate. I loved this book it is another amazing story from Michelle Pillow.

Lords of the Var The Bound Prince Book 3 Michelle M Pillow 9781586088804 Books Reviews

I enjoyed this book far more than I thought I would. This is the first book by Michelle Pillow that I've read, and I chose this one because it sounded the most interesting out of her Lords of the Var series. It's also the first science fiction romance novel I've ever read, and now I wonder why I haven't read more of them. I read this in one sitting, I enjoyed it so much. The sex scenes were pretty hot, and even with the somewhat contrived plot the story was enjoyable. This genre will probably become a guilty pleasure for me because of this book.
If you love alien space stories and sci-fiction worlds, shifters, princesses who would rather be space-rogues, this book is for you - the series is amazing - and each book I have read is better than the last..never a disappointing read when it comes to Michelle M. Pillow! I am addicted to her series
You know what happens when a space captain gets drunk in the middle of a scavenger hunt? You catch the mother of all bad asses.

I went into this book expecting it to be a hard love story. The kind where the man is so anti-love it takes almost all the story for him to get over it? Thankfully this wasn't like that. Falk get's over his kidnapping pretty quickly considering he breaks out of the cage they put him in after a day. His big bad ass demeanor lessens a bit because you actually read what he is thinking instead of only seeing what he is saying.
This is a good book, but I was a little disappointed in it. I was hoping she would have something really good for Falke, because he is different than the other princes. I was not as excited about the space adventure as if they would have stay on his planet. So not sure how much I will like the next 2 stories in the series. We will have to see. Anyway it's still a good read. It quick and flows by fast. It's the same as the other books. They have relations. They think the other person doesn't care about them. They have mated or bounded even though their minds do not accept it. Finally at the end they admit they care or each other. It only different as to what the adventure they are involved in.
I knew a human wouldn't be enough for Falk and I was extremely pleased with Sam. I was left with more question about Sam's culture and strange symptoms like, what exactly does Evan do for her when she is sick, how does she become an official princess on her planet, what was up with the green glow when Falk was tied to the bed, and why did she turn blue? I have an idea to answers but it seemed like there wasn't very much explaining. This book was very good. I liked the space travel scene with the scavenger hunt. That was fun and there was more room to play and imagine without a planetary threat to exterminate. I loved the humor.
Prince faulk is out in his tiger form when he is drugged and taken aboard a ship as a prize in a scavenger hunt .. Sam had no idea she had taken a tiger shifter, all she knew was she wanted to win the prize money then when she walks into her room and finds a naked God she can't figure out what she did the night before. No more drinking for her! These books r cute still think the king is the hottest brother to me lol..
Got exactly what I was looking for with this one. A little romance, humor, adventure, misunderstandings, and decently hot sex scenes I would rate this maybe a 6-6.5 on the hot and explicit content, but then I like my sex scenes as hot and steamy as possible.

Whenever I read romance, particularly paranormal romance, there are just a few things I'm looking for 1) strong female lead, 2) humor, funny side characters are a must, 3) hot sex scenes, come on its a romance novel, and 4) easy to follow sci-fi or fantasy world. This book gets four stars because it hits all those points fairly well. The world the author describes and the scifi touches are decent, she doesn't spend too much time on developing the world but it serves to move the story along. The humor is great, side characters are hilarious! The sex scenes are hot and sensual but not so explicit that it will overly offend some of the more prudish readers. The love story between the characters is not earth shattering, filled with conflict and wildly turbulent emotions, but that's how I like it, romantic comedy of people falling in love. Don't get me wrong there are misunderstandings and conflict aplenty, (the hero and heroine kidnap each other at different points). Just no endless passages of the heroine pining away, or the hero treating the heroine like crap and then expecting her to forgive all when he deigns to tell her he loves her. The only thing I found disappointing was the end when the independent and feisty heroine winds up preggers and her dreams of freedom and exploring the universe immediately become replaced with staying home with her man and having as many babies as possible. But I guess that's what sells, otherwise why would every single romance author end of this same note?
